Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a full-time IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our systems infrastructure across hardware and software. You will review, update, and create documentation, and collaborate with architects to design scalable solutions.

Required are 5+ years of server tech experience, strong communication, and cloud/storage proficiency. OD emphasizes a people-first culture, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with server technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong reasoning, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Teamwork and collaboration across IT and business units.
• Knowledge of cloud services: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS.
• Experience with storage architecture and virtualization.
• Experience using Visio or similar documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the organization’s systems infrastructure (hardware and software).
• Review and update system docs, reports, and customer-requested materials.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects on system design.
• Provide support to OD users for system needs.
• Assist in server hardware and software solutions across platforms.
• Troubleshoot enterprise system issues and implement fixes.
• Maintain current knowledge of technologies and trends.
