Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join our dynamic engineering team. You will integrate systems for broadband devices and design, implement, and maintain a robust infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has expertise in system administration, network architecture, automation, and troubleshooting of complex issues across Windows and Linux environments, with cloud experience in AWS/Azure/GCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent). Master’s degree a plus.
• 3–5 years in systems, network, or CPE/broadband engineering with Windows or Linux experience.
• Hands-on Linux, IP networking, and scripting; CPE/Wi-Fi/DOCSIS or RDK-B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployment and management of system operations with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Integrate and validate broadband gateways and modems into production architecture.
• Design, deploy, and maintain servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
• Automate lab and operational workflows; monitor health and address root causes.
