The Systems Engineer II is responsible for internal and external managed services infrastructure support. This position serves as a critical point of contact between iT1 and its customers, providing

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of infrastructure, systems, networking.
• Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and virtualization.
• Experience handling alerts through escalation, resolution, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure alerts, events, and monitoring-system notifications.
• Respond to incidents, research, resolve, document, and communicate with clients within SLA targets.
• Conduct intermediate-level network troubleshooting (Meraki, Cisco, VPNs, switching, routing, wireless, firewalls).
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting.
• Administer Azure including VMs, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and identity services.

The Systems Engineer II is responsible for internal and external managed services infrastructure support. This position serves as a critical point of contact between iT1 and its customers, providing monitoring, incident response, systems administration, network troubleshooting, escalation management, documentation, and operational support while ensuring assigned work is completed in adherence to company standards.

• Monitor and respond to infrastructure alerts, events, and monitoring-system notifications.
• Research, resolve, document, and communicate internal and client incidents within defined SLA targets.
• Intermediate-level network troubleshooting and configuration (Meraki, Cisco, VPNs, switching, routing, wireless, firewalls).
• Intermediate-level Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 troubleshooting.
• Intermediate-level Azure administration including virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and identity services.
• Support VMware vSphere and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Act as a technical escalation point for other support teams.
• Participate in major incident response, root cause analysis, and change management activities.
• Maintain diagrams, documentation, procedures, and asset information.
• Utilize PowerShell and automation tools where appropriate to improve operational efficiency.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of infrastructure, systems, networking
• 3-5 years managed-services support experience preferred
• Experience supporting Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience working from alerts through escalation, resolution, and documentation.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with LogicMonitor, NinjaOne, ConnectWise PSA, IT Glue, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Excellent customer service, documentation, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical troubleshooting efforts.

• Friday-Tuesday, 4:00am-12:30pm AZ
