Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Systems Engineer to support day-to-day development, administration, and support of our technical platforms across software, network, hardware, and database environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of our technology platforms.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence and a commitment to security, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 1-3 years of knowledge or experience in systems engineering or system administration is required.
• Experience with Windows-based website hosting or administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic platform administration tasks, including installations, patches, configuration, and backups.
• Assist in monitoring platform performance and availability.
• Follow standard operating procedures to support platforms and help resolve incidents.
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts under the guidance of more senior engineers.
• Maintain system documentation, including inventory and configuration records.
• Execute routine maintenance activities to support overall system health.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Support compliance with security and operational policies.
