Job summary

CHOC Children's is seeking a Systems Engineer I to plan, design, engineer, configure and troubleshoot the hospital's server environment. The role involves working with clients, vendors and staff to analyze requirements and propose options and cost benefits.

The position requires 2+ years in Active Directory, server administration and virtualization; a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience is required, with a Master’s preferred. VMware ESX/ESXi and Citrix experience are desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience with Active Directory technologies (DNS, DFS, Group Policy, ADFS, Certificates, Clustering), server administration, server virtualization across different hypervisors, mobile device management, email administration, terminal services administration, public cloud administration, and scripting.
• Preferred: three (3) years of experience with Active Directory technologies (DNS, DFS, Group Policy, ADFS, Certificates, Clustering), server administration, server virtualization across different hypervisors, mobile device management, email administration, terminal services administration, public cloud administration, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, engineer, configure and troubleshoot the hospital's server environment.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors and staff to analyze requirements and develop options and cost benefits.
• Provide engineering design for implementations and ongoing support.
