Job summary

KEXP in Seattle is seeking a Systems Engineer to maintain and improve IT systems across on‑prem, hosted, and cloud environments. You will implement, support, and contribute to resilient infrastructure while handling day‑to‑day operations, incidents, and projects.

Role collaborates with Infrastructure Engineering Manager to design scalable systems, develop automation, and ensure security compliance. This hybrid role allows up to 40% remote work and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a comparable IT operations role.
• Experience in a media, broadcast, and/or non-profit environment is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major hypervisor platform (Hyper‑V preferred; VMware acceptable).
• Solid Windows Server administration skills, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP; familiarity with tenant configurations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core on-premises infrastructure including Hyper‑V cluster, storage arrays, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Administer SaaS and collaboration platforms (Entra ID, M365, Google Workspace, Dialpad).
• Manage Intune for Windows and macOS endpoints and enforce configurations.
• Support network infrastructure (Cisco/Meraki) and remote access (Meraki Wi‑Fi, Tailscale).
• Support Myriad playout system and related IT infra in coordination with Broadcast Engineering.
• Plan and implement infrastructure projects from design through deployment.
• Develop runbooks and documentation, manage Jira tickets, and monitor system health.
