Position Title: Systems Engineer – Ground Combat Vehicle Program

Travel Required: Yes

Position Summary

The Systems Engineer will provide technical leadership and systems engineering support for a complex, ground combat vehicle development program. This position is responsible for requirements development, system architecture definition, digital engineering execution, and cross‑disciplinary integration in accordance with established U.S. Department of War (DoW) acquisition processes. The role requires experience within the U.S. defense sector and the ability to collaborate with government customers, industry partners, and internal engineering teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, analyze, and manage system‑level requirements, interfaces, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Lead and support Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering activities, including model development, trade studies, and system analyses.
  • Contribute to system architecture definition and technical baseline management throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, test, and specialty engineering disciplines to ensure system integration and technical consistency.
  • Prepare and review engineering artifacts and deliverables for technical reviews, design milestones, and program reporting.
  • Support the creation and execution of verification and validation plans, test strategies, and integration events.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings with government representatives, subcontractors, and program stakeholders.
  • Identify technical risks and support development of mitigation plans.
  • Perform travel to customer sites, partner facilities, test locations, and program events as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional experience within the U.S. defense sector, including familiarity with DoW acquisition processes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in digital engineering and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, Rhapsody, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., INCOSE guidelines, MIL‑STD‑961, MIL‑STD‑499, DoD 5000 series).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to travel as required by program needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoW security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with military ground vehicle systems, including mobility, survivability, power and propulsion, software integration, or vetronics.
  • Familiarity with digital thread/digital twin environments and model‑based program execution.
  • Prior experience supporting large, complex defense acquisition programs or major system integrations.
