Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer – Enterprise Architecture with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support programs in Laurel, Maryland.

In this role, you will analyze user requirements, concept of operations (CONOPS) documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. You will lead system design and development activities, guide users in formulating requirements, evaluate alternative technical approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.

You will provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, system design, and technology while supporting complex infrastructures operating across on-premises and off-premises environments. This position will also develop system architecture and design documentation, guide system integration and testing activities, and communicate technical considerations with program personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system architectures and visions to derive formal, testable system requirements.
  • Lead system design and development activities based on system requirements.
  • Author, review, and maintain repeatable, comprehensive system architecture and system design documentation for IT environments.
  • Architect and optimize complex infrastructures operating both on-premises, including bare-metal and virtualized environments, and off-premises.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative technical approaches, and conduct technical feasibility and trade studies.
  • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, system design, and emerging technologies.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of Systems Engineering Management Plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Guide verification and validation activities by authoring and executing system integration and test plans.
  • Interface with senior executives regarding complex engineering considerations, technical roadblocks, and architectural conflicts.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams to align architectural vision with execution schedules.
  • Develop, update, and present technical documentation during Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs).
  • Communicate with program personnel, Government overseers, and senior executives regarding Systems Engineering activities.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
    • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Hands-on experience in Systems Engineering and IT Architecture.
  • Proven experience designing and managing technical architectures for both on-premises enterprise data centers and cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated expert-level experience engineering complex network infrastructure and end-user computing solutions at scale.
  • Experience authoring formal Systems Engineering artifacts, including CONOPS, SRS, SDDs, SEMPs, and Test Plans.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience briefing senior executives on complex problems and architectural trade-offs.
Desired Skills:
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP).
  • AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
