Job summary

Avnet, a global technology distributor, is seeking a design engineer who consults with customers on product design, development and maintenance. You will coordinate installation procedures and support sales, field teams and customers with technical solutions to achieve business objectives.

You will analyze data to assess feasibility, document OSI and prototype orders, resolve technical issues, and communicate with customers and engineering teams to implement changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• A+ Certification is required.
• Travel may be required.
• Foundational knowledge of disciplines and standards.
• Ability to analyze data and determine feasibility of proposals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
• May integrate and document OSI, first article and prototype orders.
• Resolve technical and process issues; document build process and train staff.
• Coordinate with customers and technology teams to resolve problems; prepare layouts.
• Review change requests; assess impact and provide implementation timelines.
• May implement ECO/ECN communications to production and sales teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.
