Job summary

CoAspire, LLC in Northern Virginia is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Chief Engineer and program management on advanced missile programs. You will help develop and decompose requirements, create ICDs, and deliver key systems engineering artifacts from concept through production.

This role blends individual contribution with team collaboration across engineering disciplines to ensure traceability, compliance, and performance. Location is onsite in Fairfax or Manassas, VA.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of systems engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience with requirements management, interface management, verification planning, and technical documentation (CDRLs, ICDs, etc.).
• Broad systems engineering experience including CONOPS development and verification & validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, managing, and maintaining system goals and expectations across all design phases.
• Support the preparation and delivery of design review artifacts to the customer (PDR/CDR).
• Maintain Interface Control Documents across engineering teams.
• Perform requirements analysis, trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper flow-down of requirements to subsystems and suppliers with traceability.
