This cross-functional position combines individual contribution with team support, working closely with systems, software, electrical, mechanical, GNC, test and other engineers to ensure system capabilities are properly defined, allocated, traced, and verified while maintaining design integrity, traceability, and compliance with performance, safety, and security standards.

Location: Onsite - Fairfax or Manassas, VA

  • Ensure proper flow-down of requirements to subsystems and suppliers and maintain traceability throughout the lifecycle.
  • Incorporate technical inputs and documentation from other engineering disciplines and external stakeholders into the overall systems engineering baseline.
  • Conduct requirements and design reviews to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or risks, and support implementation of corrective actions on an as-needed basis.
  • Interface directly with senior leadership, DoW stakeholders, subcontractors, and company leadership to align systems engineering efforts with program needs and milestones.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environments and support technical leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently execute tasks and drive progress on assigned deliverables.
  • U.S. citizenship and current Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain one).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with commercial requirements management tools.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and/or other defense systems engineering standards.
