Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking a growth-oriented systems engineer to join a team delivering engineering support. You will work with experienced staff using state-of-the-art tools and enjoy a hybrid schedule, with several days at a customer facility in Mossville, IL.

The role emphasizes data collection, system integration, and testing across sensor and automation domains, with travel to domestic and international sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/CS or related field.
• Master’s degree may substitute some experience requirements.
• +2 years in systems engineering, machine integration, automation, or data acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support machine-based data collection systems across diverse environments.
• Perform data collection, validation, and QA to ensure reliability.
• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot cameras, radar, LiDAR, GPS, and data hardware.
• Execute system integration, validation, and field tests for safety and automation tech.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software/networking issues in lab and field.
• Develop and maintain engineering docs, test procedures, and validation plans.
• Support proving grounds, customer sites, and machine testing (travel as needed).
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver robust, reliable solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve test processes and data quality.
