A leading company in digital infrastructure seeks a Systems Engineer - Controls and BMS to oversee the design and deployment of Building Management Systems in critical environments. While these critical environments are ever changing, the demand for innovative technology and long-term support remains constant. These services include design, construction, updates, and maintenance of new and existing datacenter facilities.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer - Controls and BMS to join our Digital Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the design, engineering, deployment, and troubleshooting of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Control Systems in high-availability environments such as data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and IT integration, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Engineering:
o Develop and review BMS and control system designs for new construction and retrofit projects.
o Specify control strategies, sequences of operation, and integration requirements for HVAC, electrical, and other building systems.
o Collaborate with end users, MEP engineers, contractors and project team to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Deployment and Commissioning:
o Oversee installation and commissioning of BMS and control systems.
o Validate system functionality through testing and performance verification.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and internal specifications.
• Integration and Optimization:
o Integrate BMS with other building systems (e.g., fire alarm, security, power monitoring).
o Diagnose and resolve system faults, alarms, and performance issues.
o Implement system optimizations and opportunities for improvement.
• Documentation and Training:
o Create and maintain system documentation, including schematics, control diagrams, O&M manuals, reports etc.
o Train internal staff and contractors on system operation and best practices.
