Summary

The Sr. Systems/Control Engineer based in Littleton, MA, reports to the Sr. Director, Design, Process and Technology Engineering. Responsible for designing, defining, and implementing system requirements for complex customer systems/products and researching existing systems before transitioning to manufacturing for new product introduction.

Responsibilities
  1. Define system specifications, input/output processes, and hardware/software compatibility parameters.
  2. Coordinate the design of subsystems and overall system integration.
  3. Identify, explore, and resolve program deficiencies.
  4. Provide complex software development and consultation.
  5. Track issues and drive resolution.
  6. Serve as the main Project Development Engineer.
  7. Develop and maintain project schedules.
  8. Prepare and maintain Engineering NRE estimates.
  9. Interface with customers and guide product development calls and meetings.
  10. Address customer inquiries regarding complex system software and applications.
  11. Oversee systems development and testing, including vendor selection and component design.
  12. Provide technical assistance for sales, demonstrations, installation, and maintenance.
  13. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  14. Develop product specifications and test plans.
  15. Define pre-production build logistics and deployment schedules.
  16. Create engineering release documentation.
  17. Build mini applications to demonstrate feasibility based on customer requirements.
  18. Ensure ISO process conformance.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Typically 10 years of industry experience.
  3. Advanced operational, technical, and customer relationship skills.
  4. Expertise in complex technical areas or broad knowledge across multiple areas.
  5. Ability to impact medium-term strategic and operational success.
  6. Experience in creating and approving processes, standards, and policies.
  7. Participation in strategic planning and major initiatives.
