Job summary

MAP SSG is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide identity management and platform engineering across secure, highly available services. You will troubleshoot and maintain critical infrastructure, including Windows Server, cloud components, containers, and related security controls.

The role requires hands-on experience with Entra ID/AD, CyberArk, VMware, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, automation, and collaboration with IS Operations and InfoSec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience is required.
• Experience at a large law firm or professional services organization is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineering and operational support for Identity Management and platform engineering.
• Administering Windows Server environments (2019/2022) and virtualization (VMware).
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, GPO, and related services.
• Collaborate with IS Operations and Networking for optimal performance.
• Work with InfoSec to secure internal and external systems.
• Lead deployment of new or upgraded server-based software platforms.
• Create and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, PERL).
• Provide triage support as first point of contact with IT groups.
• Participation in weekly on-call rotation.
• Experience with AWS, SQL, Varonis, and Citrix is a plus.

Systems Engineers are responsible for Identity Management, Platform Engineering, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting highly available and secure technology services and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Engineering and operational support experience with Identity Management (eg Entra ID, AD, Enterprise applications, RBAC), Certificate Auto Management (eg, Cyberark Venafi), Cloud HSM, Containerized platforms, Azure and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, PAM (Eg, Cyberark)
• Administering and troubleshooting Windows Server 2019,2022, K8’s, RHEL, and VMWare
• Configuring and troubleshooting core services including DNS, DHCP, GPO, etc.
• Working closely with IS Operations and Networking to achieve optimal performance of supported technologies.
• Working in tandem with InfoSec to secure all internally and externally facing systems.
• Technical leadership of deployment of new, or upgrading existing, server-based software platforms.
• Creating and maintaining scripts (PowerShell, PERL, etc.) and scheduled tasks to automate routine tasks and configurations.
• Ability to perform triage troubleshooting for all systems as first point of contact with other IT groups.
• Some experience with AWS, SQL, Varonis and Citrix preferred.
• Participation in periodic weekly 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications/Position Requirements

Very strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong ability to create and maintain detailed system documentation. In addition, must be a creative thinker with proven problem-solving ability. Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative flat organization.

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $170,000-$180,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
