Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to build, operate, and scale production services within the UEBA pipeline. You will implement detections, improve event processing, and collaborate across engineering groups to deliver end-to-end functionality.

The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and cross-team communication as you own defined projects from design to rollout in a large-scale security analytics environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building backend or distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or C/C++ with clean, maintainable code.
• 3+ years with databases like PostgreSQL or ClickHouse.
• Experience with event-driven systems: message delivery, duplicates, state, failure recovery.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to discuss decisions with product/engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build behavioral detections across signals such as Access, Gateway, DNS, device posture, and data protection.
• Make risk output understandable by linking to event history and customer investigations.
• Design, deploy, and maintain robust distributed infrastructure with high availability and low latency.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering teams across Access, Gateway, Analytics and Reporting, Logs, etc.
• Ensure reliability through architecture reviews, capacity planning, and proactive health monitoring.
