Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Systems Engineer to collaborate with sales, evangelize our products to partners, resellers, and end users, and drive technical evaluations. The role requires significant regional travel and strong expertise in VMware, Hyper‑V, and data management.

You will deliver both remote and on-site demos and work closely with developers to capture customer feedback. The ideal candidate will bring fluency in English, French, and Dutch, plus excellent communication skills.

• Pre-sales experience at an enterprise IT software vendor.
• Deep experience with VMware Virtual Infrastructure.
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V and System Center.
• Broad knowledge of data management incl. tape drives, storage arrays, storage networking.
• Willingness to engage in Cloud discussions.

• Position Veeam products to partners and end‑users to help exceed sales goals.
• Manage the technical evaluation stage as main technical advisor for Veeam solution.
• Provide web-based and on-site demonstrations of Veeam software.
• Collaborate with VARs including enablement, joint meetings, and relationship-building.
• Liaise with development to relay customer feedback.

About the role:

At Veeam, Systems Engineers work closely with sales and help to evangelize our product offerings to our partners, resellers and end‑users. Grow along with Veeam while gaining valuable experience in the hottest area within IT today. This position require significant travel within the region of responsibility.

What You’ll Do:

• Position Veeam products to both partners and end‑users to help to overachieve sales goals
• Manage the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as a main technical advisor for Veeam solution
• Provide web-based and on-site demonstrations of Veeam software
• Work closely with Veeam’s value-added resellers, including enablement, joint meetings and building relationships
• Work closely with development to provide customer feedback

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong experience working in a pre-sales role to enterprise level for an IT Software vendor
• Deep experience with VMware Virtual Infrastructure
• Experience on Microsoft Hyper‑V and Systems Centre
• Wide range of technical knowledge of data management inclusive tape drives, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols
• Willingness to engage discussion about Cloud technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English, French and Dutch
• Being comfortable presenting to groups, both remotely and in person
• Availability to spend 25% - 50% of the time with customers and partners
• Self‑starter approach with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly
• Being comfortable in using social media to help promote and grow the Veeam community

Compensation for this role reflects total target compensation (TTC), including base salary and a performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, compensation reflects on‑target earnings (OTE), including base salary and variable commission.

Compensation Range

€105.000 — €175.000 EUR
