Job summary

GLG is seeking a System Engineer to drive a shift from manual operations to automated, code-driven infrastructure across AWS, M365, and Windows Server. You will own identity, email flow, and core network services, with a strong emphasis on security and least-privilege access.

The role requires a DevOps/SRE mindset, scripting skills, and comfort with IaC and CI/CD workflows. You will collaborate across a distributed team, contribute to postmortems, and grow into full ownership of the stack,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in systems / infrastructure / platform / SRE engineering.
• A DevOps/SRE mindset: automate and replace manual, repeatable processes with code.
• Ask why we do things this way and weigh trade-offs honestly.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell and Bash required; Python/Javascript a plus).
• Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, OpenTofu, etc.) and Git pull-request workflows.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows Server.
• Familiarity with identity platforms (Entra ID, Active Directory); SailPoint a plus.
• Familiarity with Exchange Online and email security basics; growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Automate and operate core infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft 365, and Windows Server with security and least-privilege defaults.
• Engineer identity across Entra ID, Active Directory, and SailPoint with provisioning and governance.
• Own and improve enterprise email flow: Exchange Online and email authentication.
• Evaluate inherited architecture and propose better approaches with trade-offs.
• Move infrastructure to code: declarative infrastructure with OpenTofu and Spacelift, version-controlled and peer-reviewed.
• Work in Git with PR-based review and CI/CD workflows.
• Support cloud footprint across AWS and Azure, including networking and identity.
• Participate in 24/7 operations and write postmortems; automate fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Use AI to troubleshoot, script, document, and design faster.
