Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Systems Engineer 4 in Seal Beach, CA. This contract role with a 12-month term offers a pay rate of $95.50/hour and requires an active Top Secret clearance.

You will lead ground and system level verification, write detailed ICDs, and manage system requirements, risks, and test results for space-based programs. Responsibilities include executing test plans, supporting ConOps and product development, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure system

Qualifications

Summary:

• Leads ground and system level verification, validation, integration, and test for space-based systems.

• Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, and develop system and subsystem requirements.

• Writes requirements and interface control documents (ICDs) for ground systems.

• Supports ConOps development and product design, development, and test.

• Leads planning, organization, and implementation of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity, and technology readiness assessment processes.

• Develops and executes test plans, test procedures, and verification reports for system validation.

• Resolves cross-functional technical issues across system integration and architecture.

• Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters.

• Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, and product assurance.

• Develops Ground Segment Operational Products in support of space-based systems and supports complex system level threads for space missions using scaled agile development and model-based systems engineering.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required to start.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent directly related to the work statement.

• Typically, 9 or more years of related work experience.

• Experience in space systems and working with multi-discipline teams.

• Experience with Ops Product architecture, design, development, and test.

• Experience with software requirements verification testing.

• Experience with scripting languages including Python, Tcl, and Tk.

• Experience with Configuration Management tools and processes.

• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework processes and tools.
