Job description

Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a leading automotive technology organization, is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer. This role is responsible for defining system requirements, developing occupant detection system (OCS) solutions, and ensuring end-to-end system validation and compliance with safety standards.

Job Duties
  • Analyze and translate customer requirements into technical system specifications
  • Develop system designs including hardware/software architecture and component interfaces
  • Lead internal system design reviews and ensure ASPICE compliance
  • Serve as the technical liaison with the customer, managing key system-level communications
  • Execute verification activities including IT&V, bench testing, and vehicle-level validation
  • Apply OCS strategies and designs to meet occupant detection and classification goals
  • Drive reuse of core system architecture across multiple programs
  • Identify exceptions or escalations to standard architecture and communicate with technical leadership
Skills & Experience
  • Required
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as Polarion or DOORS
  • Experience in embedded system development and validation
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols, including CAN and UDS (ISO 14229)
  • Knowledge of ASPICE development processes and requirements management
  • Exposure to occupant detection systems (OCS) or similar safety-critical automotive systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Working knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standards
  • Experience with tools such as Vector CANoe, PDAQ/Saint, JIRA, and GES
  • Understanding of cybersecurity protocols in embedded systems
  • Prior experience with software integration testing (SWIT)
  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience in managing technical look-across charts across customer programs
