Captivation is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to support daily operations and contribute to mission-critical efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, travel occasionally, and help ensure system performance meets stringent government requirements.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. You will develop, test, and document engineering solutions to support protection initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field plus 4 years systems engineering experience
• HS Diploma + 4 years experience may substitute for Bachelor's degree
• Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of systems engineering experience
• PhD may substitute for 3 years of systems engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Travel up to 3x/year for 7–10 days
• Assist with daily systems engineering responsibilities
• Draft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reports
• Ensure alignment with E3 Program and customer mission requirements

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who will assist with daily responsibilities and be able to travel 3x/year for 7-10 days at a time.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) year of systems engineering experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
• A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of systems engineering experience.
• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three (3) years of systems engineering experience.

Required Skills

• Experience with coding Python and Visual Basic for applications
• Strong experience in applying RF theoretical and academic knowledge in EMI testing unintended emissions within HF, VHF, and UHF spectrum
• Familiar with RF tools (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and components (amplifiers, filters, isolators, attenuators, terminators, etc.)
• Formulating and documenting test plans
• Draft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reports
• Specify and/or review system and component technical performance requirements to ensure optimal functionality while meeting E3 noise electric field limit.
• Collaborate internal and external agency stakeholders to ensure technical support enables the E3 Program and customer mission requirements

Desired Skills

• Preferred but not required to have experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing, electromagnetic interference mitigation, and /or antenna calibration.

Benefits

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
