• Interact with Government on SE technical considerations and issues.
• Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work across ISO/IEC15288 process areas.
• Address Project, Stakeholder, and Enterprise process areas including planning, assessment, control, risk, and information management.

Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 to support the management of engineering and programmatic actions for an HPC project. The role will require someone who is a "go-getter", and will be able to handle multiple concurrent activities and be willing to work with project teams to follow up on outstanding actions. A system engineering/technical background will benefit their understanding of the work and terminology to facilitate success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• System Engineer to support the management of engineering and programmatic actions for an HPC project.


• Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.


• Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.


• Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.


• Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288:


• Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.


• Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.


• Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area - Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.


• Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.

Required Qualifications

• Meet one of the applicable education and experience pathways in the Required Education and Experience Equivalency section.


• The role will require someone who is a "go-getter", and will be able to handle multiple concurrent activities and be willing to work with project teams to follow up on outstanding actions.

Preferred Qualifications

• A system engineering/technical background will benefit their understanding of the work and terminology to facilitate success in this role.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• A High School Diploma or GED with six (6) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area).


• A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with two (2) years of systems engineering experience.


• A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.


• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Required Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph


• U.S. citizenship is required
