Job summary

Compunnel Inc. in Westlake, Ohio seeks a Systems Engineer to design, build and operate scalable infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises environments.

You will focus on automation, observability, and infrastructure‑as‑code, develop CI/CD pipelines, manage Kubernetes, support cloud migrations, and ensure reliability and performance for global services. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and ITSM processes, using Terraform, Ansible, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Eng, or related field.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, Grafana.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent.
• Experience building and operating systems in AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and cloud computing concepts.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing highly scalable and resilient infrastructure platforms. This role focuses on automation, observability, and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure high availability and operational excellence across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities
