Job summary

Systems Engineer at CACI International is sought to design, develop, and maintain mission-management applications built on cloud-native microservices. You will collaborate with multiple product teams, participate in agile practices, and support modernization of mission management systems for customers.

Requirements include a TS/SCI with Polygraph, 3+ years in systems engineering, and experience with Linux, Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr. Travel up to 10% within the Continental US may be required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years experience in systems engineering.
  • Must have a current TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Expert-level knowledge of commonly-used systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong communication skills, analytical/problem solving ability, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
  • Self-starter. Quick to learn and put new skills to use.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Zephyr)
  • Experience with Linux

  • Provide systems engineering support across multiple phases of the systems engineering lifecycle to include technical planning, CONOP development, requirement analysis, system design, scheduling, system integration, verification and validation, training, cost and risk assessment
  • Provide end-to-end systems engineering support across multiple development and test teams and environments
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
  • Provide feedback to the developers relating to operational functionality concerns
  • Provide support to system maintainers for investigation of operational issue

The Opportunity:

As a systems engineer on this program, you’ll collaborate with multiple product teams and immerse yourself in modern development practices, working within an agile framework to modernize mission management systems for our customers. Some Continental US and international travel may be required up to 10% as well as surge support.

  • Experience writing and maintaining system documentation

  • Experience with Linux OS
  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies and guidance
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes
  • Experience with C++ is a plus

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
