Job summary

The ideal candidate holds an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, 3+ years in systems engineering, and experience in software integration, automation, and technical writing. In-person work at Sterling, travel up to 10% locally.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in-person at CACI facilities in Sterling, VA, Sarasota, FL, or Denver, CO.
• At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, solution architecture, or related fields.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with mission management applications or enterprise data integration.
• Experience integrating software applications, enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and distributed technologies.
• Familiarity with system testing and automated application testing frameworks.
• Strong grasp of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
• Experience designing or implementing automation for operational efficiency.
• Advanced technical writing skills, including architecture documentation and diagrams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Opportunity:

This position supports sensitive national security programs and requires an active Top Secret security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates already holding a CI Polygraph, but those eligible and willing to obtain one are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

Required:

• At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, systems integration, solution architecture, or related technical fields.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with mission management applications or enterprise data integration.
• Proven track record of solving complex technical and operational issues.
• Experience integrating software applications, enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and distributed technologies.
• Familiarity with system testing and automated application testing frameworks.
• Strong grasp of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
• Experience designing or implementing automation for operational efficiency.
• Advanced technical writing skills, including architecture documentation, interface control documents, system diagrams, procedures, and engineering artifacts.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while staying aligned with strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated capability to independently prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian Suite tools, including Jira and Confluence.

Desired:

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of War organizations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, JavaScript, Java, or similar programming and scripting languages.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, message queues, and distributed system architectures.
• Understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering, enterprise architecture, or digital engineering practices.
• Experience with AI-enabled decision support, advanced analytics, or data engineering solutions.
• Security+ or other relevant technical certifications.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$69,100-$141,500
