Job description

Responsibilities

• collaborate with development, production, trading, and back-office operations
• design, deploy, support, and troubleshoot Linux server and desktop infrastructure
• document IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures
• provide general user support and troubleshooting assistance
• participate in after-hours work and an on-call rotation

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• a bachelor's degree in a technical field
• strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills
• excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• extensive experience designing, deploying, and supporting Linux servers and desktops
• comprehensive understanding of systems and network protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS) and UNIX/Linux system internals (kernel, drivers, file systems, virtual memory)
• experience implementing, operating, and supporting Slurm, LLM deployments, and PostgreSQL
• knowledge of scripting to automate tasks
• experience deploying, supporting, integrating, debugging, and patching open-source and proprietary infrastructure services (DHCP, LDAP, Radius, NFS, Kerberos, OpenSSL) (considered a plus)
