Innova Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer for a 12-month contract in Seal Beach, CA. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance and a strong background in space systems, MBSE, and end-to-end systems engineering. The engineer will lead teams, drive requirements across analyses, architecture, CONOPS, and I&T.

• Oversee RF analysis including G/T, EIRP, gain/loss, phase noise.
• Coordinate cybersecurity with ISSMs/ISSOs.

Systems Engineer

Position type: Full-time, Contract

As a Systems Engineer you will:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead systems engineering teams across space systems and related programs.
• Drive requirements decomposition, requirements verification, and systems engineering processes through Critical Design Review (CDR).
• Develop system architectures, architecture concepts, and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS).
• Lead end-to-end systems engineering activities, including mission analysis, fault management, and autonomy.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute System Integration and Test (I&T) activities.
• Develop and manage intersegment test plans, including demonstrations and test bed utilization.
• Define and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between space and ground segments.
• Lead Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), specifications development, and requirements management.
• Provide technical leadership for Requirements and Verification (R&V), Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT), platform systems engineering, and payload/RF payload systems engineering.
• Oversee RF analysis, including G/T, EIRP, gain/loss, and phase noise, as well as RF unit specification development.
• Maintain responsibility for cybersecurity activities and coordinate with Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) and Information System Security Officers (ISSOs).

The ideal candidate will have:

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong systems engineering and team leadership experience.
• Requirements decomposition, verification, and systems engineering lifecycle through CDR.
• System architecture, CONOPS, mission analysis, fault management, and autonomy.
• End-to-end systems engineering, system integration, and test planning/execution.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Space hardware experience.
• Experience with highly autonomous space systems.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: $90.00 - $112.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
