Job summary

Cyber Advisors is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for a hybrid role in the Salt Lake City area. You will provide remote and on-site support, diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and software issues, and help migrate major platforms like Exchange and Active Directory. Strong customer focus and communication are required.

You will contribute to knowledge bases, document solutions, and participate in process improvements, with opportunities for career advancement and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Certifications include A+, Network+, Server+, Net+, and cloud basics (AZ900/AB900/SC900).

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support to clients.
• Proactively diagnose hardware, network, and software problems.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of customer's environment.
• Perform major migrations (Exchange, Active Directory, and others).

Cyber Advisors (CA) based in Salt Lake City, is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer. CA is a steadily growing IT managed services provider (MSP) business that specializes in a very high-quality, customer-focused approach to designing, managing, and maintaining our customer's IT environment. This is a full-time position- Hybrid based in the Salt Lake City, UT area. Working hours are Monday-Friday with occasional evenings and weekends. Must have a valid drivers license.

ROLES + RESPONSIBILIES

• Provide primarily remote and on-site support to our clients.
• Proactively anticipate, pre-empt, diagnose, and solve hardware, network, and software problems.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of customer's specific business environment.
• Perform major technology platform migrations (Exchange, Active Directory, and others)

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamental
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows and macOS) and server management.
• Experience with network security, anti-virus, and firewalls.
• Broad knowledge of hypervisor technologies (VMWare/Hyper-V).
• Broad knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS and DHCP
• Broad knowledge of MS Office 365 administration

• Strong trouble-shooting skills across a broad and diverse population and environment.

• Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, clearly and concisely present issues, alternatives, and recommendation(s).
• Strong technical documentation skills, ability to clearly record key information within ticketing and knowledge base systems.
• Appreciation of internal customer business, goals and objectives, strategies, and needs.
• Demonstrate ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, aggressive targets and deadlines.
• Demonstrate understanding of priorities and effective work procedures, self-manage work time and prioritize multiple tasks and problems.

EDUACATION + CERTIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will hold:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or commensurate work experience
• A+, Network+, or similar IT certification
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Net+
• CompTIA Server+
• AZ900
• AB900
• SC900
• 5+ years IT experience
