The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for a Systems Engineer with strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a record of accomplishment in the successful execution of IT system and application development and sustainment. This is a remote position in support of the US Marine Corps and may require some travel to the Quantico, VA area.

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess an understanding of customer mission/business objectives and manage cross-functional teams to achieve them.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to:
    • Plan and execute major and minor releases in accordance with the release schedule.
    • Coordinate release deployment activities with stakeholders.
    • Monitor and track Configuration Item traceability.
    • Identify and communicate project risk.
    • Collect, analyze, and report project metrics.
    • Assist with other project-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • BS/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree and 7+ years’ experience performing project management activities; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience coordinating system engineering activities identified in the Responsibilities section.
  • Experience performing PMBOK-based project management processes in support of DoD IT systems and applications.
  • Experience leading SDLC efforts including system development and/or sustainment operations.
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and/or presentation.
  • Experience using tools that support software development and release management activities such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Possess and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance.


Desired:
  • Experience working with USMC Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS).
  • Experience working with the USMC in an IT development or operational capacity.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies such as Microsoft and Red Hat Linux operating systems, Oracle databases, and Cognos reporting solutions.

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
