Job summary

CJ Schwan's in Minnesota is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our server and network architecture in a food manufacturing environment. You will install and configure servers and network devices, troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues, support senior engineers, and participate in Lean/CI initiatives.

A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of IT infrastructure experience are required, including knowledge of Windows servers, SAP, databases,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of IT infrastructure experience.
• Knowledge of Windows server environments, SAP, databases, backup/restore, IP networking, and server troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, numeric data analysis, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot IT infrastructure hardware and software issues.
• Support senior engineers in projects and daily operations.
• Use tools to identify, resolve, and prevent technical issues.
• Maintain a stable, high performance IT environment and contribute to infrastructure improvements.
• Develop and update infrastructure documentation and procedures.
• Resolve assigned issues independently and participate in 24 hour on call rotation.
• Participate in ongoing infrastructure upgrades and Lean/CI (Continuous Improvement) initiatives as a Green Belt.

What We Look For:

• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, numeric data analysis, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.

What We Offer:

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $125,000 annually, with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range.
