Job summary

Leidos is seeking a mission‑driven Systems Engineer to join our team at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. You will design, integrate, and optimize C5ISR/C4I capabilities to support critical national security missions across the Pacific, collaborating with senior engineers and government stakeholders to ensure reliable information flow and real‑time decision advantage for the warfighter.

The role requires 8+ years in C4I‑related activities, a DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Security+ baseline, and a TS/SCI

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in C4I‑related activities (military domain preferred).
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II – Security+
• MCSA certification required
• TS/SCI clearance on day one
• Experience configuring network devices
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C5ISR/C4I system capabilities to meet mission needs.
• Build integration and implementation plans for upgrades and deployments.
• Evaluate COTS/GOTS technologies and recommend secure solutions.
• Track progress, prepare milestone reports, and brief stakeholders.
• Support installation, testing, maintenance, and programming across PACAF sites.
• Provide operational and maintenance support for C5ISR/C4I systems.
• Coordinate with PACAF PA‑ESC and government managers to align solutions.

Leidos is seeking a mission‑driven Systems Engineer to join our team at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii . In this role, you’ll shape, integrate, and optimize advanced C5ISR/JWICS capabilities, collaborate with senior engineers across PACAF, and ensure the reliability of systems that keep information flowing where it matters most. What You’ll Do

• Design and develop C5ISR/C4I system capabilities , ensuring they meet evolving mission needs.
• Build integration and implementation plans , including schedules for system upgrades and deployments.
• Evaluate COTS/GOTS technologies and recommend solutions that enhance performance and security.
• Track project progress , prepare milestone reports, and brief program managers and government stakeholders.
• Support system installation, testing, administration, maintenance, and programming across PACAF sites.
• Provide operational and maintenance support for C5ISR/C4I systems, including troubleshooting and network repair.
• Install and upgrade C5ISRO architectures as directed by government leadership.
• Coordinate with PACAF PA‑ESC, theater‑wide engineers, and government managers to align technical solutions across all sites.

Technical Expertise You Bring

• Strong knowledge of network protocols , Windows , Linux , and UNIX operating systems.
• Deep understanding of Intelink, intranet technologies , and modern web processes.
• Current knowledge of DoD Information Security Policies , COMPUSEC, INFOSEC, and emerging information warfare concepts.
• Familiarity with Air Force intelligence systems and joint programs (GALE, GCCS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies: Windows Server 2003/2007/2012 , VMware , Exchange , Outlook , SharePoint .
• Excellent communication skills, customer‑focused mindset, and strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to proactively analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (additional experience may substitute for degree)
• 8+ years of experience in C4I‑related activities
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) – Required
• TS/SCI clearance on day one
• Experience configuring network devices
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II – Security+
• Highly self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
• Experience with VMware and VDI technologies
