Job summary

Leidos is seeking a mission-driven Systems Engineer to join our team at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. You will design, integrate, and optimize advanced C5ISR/JWICS capabilities to support Pacific theater operations and national security objectives.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers across PACAF, ensure system reliability, and lead implementation plans for upgrades and deployments while maintaining DoD security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (additional experience may substitute for degree).
• 8+ years of experience in C4I-related activities.
• MCSA certification is required.
• TS/SCI clearance on day one.
• Experience configuring network devices.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II - Security+.
• Highly self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C5ISR/C4I system capabilities, meeting evolving mission needs.
• Build integration and implementation plans including schedules for upgrades and deployments.
• Evaluate COTS/GOTS technologies and recommend solutions that enhance performance and security.
• Track progress, prepare milestone reports, and brief program managers and government stakeholders.
• Support system installation, testing, administration, maintenance, and programming across PACAF sites.
• Provide operational and maintenance support for C5ISR/C4I systems, including troubleshooting and network repair.
• Install and upgrade C5ISRO architectures as directed by government leadership.
• Coordinate with PACAF PAESC, theaterwide engineers, and government managers to align solutions.

What You'll Do

Technical Expertise You Bring

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
• Deep understanding of Intelink, intranet technologies, and modern web processes.
• Current knowledge of DoD Information Security Policies, COMPUSEC, INFOSEC, and emerging information warfare concepts.
• Familiarity with Air Force intelligence systems and joint programs (GALE, GCCS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies: Windows Server 2003/2007/2012, VMware, Exchange, Outlook, SharePoint.
• Excellent communication skills, customer‑focused mindset, and strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to proactively analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Required.
• TS/SCI clearance on day one.
• Experience configuring network devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
• Experience with VMware and VDI technologies.
