Job summary

Automatic Data Processing, Inc. is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and modernize cryptographic software for GPS enterprise systems in El Segundo, CA. This role requires TS/SCI clearance and hands-on work with C++20, Python, and cryptographic algorithms.

You will collaborate with government teams and prime contractors, contribute to system engineering activities, and help validate NSA key material. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Science as required.
• 5+ years of overall experience in software development and system engineering.
• Experience developing and evaluating software with demonstrable results.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience working with or for the government.
• Experience writing and delivering technical documents.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• GPS experience is preferred.
• Experience with C++20, C#, Python, SQL, and gRPC.
• Experience with Podman, cmake, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition organizations.
• Experience on a Systems Engineering and Integration contract.
• Familiarity with Space Systems Command.
• Experience with cryptography and cryptographic systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modernize cryptographic software using innovative solutions.
• Support GPS enterprise integrated system testing.
• Support GPS enterprise requirements, architectures, concepts, designs, and technologies development.
• Implement Y-code and M-code cryptographic algorithms.
• Validate NSA operational key material.
• Provide guidance and technical support for Crypto Management and NAVWAR.
• Collaborate with government teams, program leads, external organizations, and prime contractors.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in the GPS requirements process.

Major duties of this position include:

• Develop and modernize cryptographic software using innovative solutions
