Job summary

Bay Systems Consulting, Inc. seeks a senior Systems Engineer to lead SE&I teams in Colorado Springs, aligning with government priorities and guiding requirements integration across space, ground, hardware and software.

You will coordinate with prime contractors and government leads to develop training, perform risk analysis, and support SSC/PNT enterprise system engineering and sustainment. A SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI; you will work with Air Force and Space

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Active SECRET security clearance.
• DoD Space Force/SSC experience with Space Systems.
• Experience writing and delivering technical documents, analysis, and briefings.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to provide on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of SE&I personnel with direction from the government on priorities.
• Ensuring effective requirements integration across operational space and ground, hardware and software, and all other aspects of systems and organizations for control segment capabilities.
• Interacting with government leads to provide engineering analysis support and requirements development for system modernization.
• Coordinating with the prime Contractor and government leads to generate and maintain system engineer process training.
• Support for the operations engineering element and GWCC when required.
• Supporting the customer in defining, capturing, and developing risk mitigation actions and assessing changes.
• Developing, documenting, executing, integrating, and evolving systems engineering processes for SSC/PNT Enterprise.
• Assessing proposed Enterprise baseline changes for impacts on requirements and capabilities.
• Developing operations and sustainment related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation for decision making.
• Collaborating with prime contractors, government civilians, and Air Force/Space Force members.
• Participating in Integrated Product Teams and other programmatic activities.

PNT Colorado Springs, CO, US

Salary Range: $145,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually

Target level : 4 or 5

Clearance required : Secret, able to obtain TS/SCI

Duties:

• Leading a team of SE&I personnel with assignment of responsibilities with direction from the government on priorities.
• Ensuring effective requirements integration across operational space and ground, hardware and software, and all other aspects of systems and organizations for control segment capabilities with an eye towards the weapon system operator
• Interacting with government leads to provide engineering analysis support and requirements development for system modernization
• Coordinating with the prime Contractor and government leads to generate and maintain system engineer process training with a goal of increasing efficiency.
• Support for the operations engineering element and the GPS Warfighter Collaboration Cell (GWCC) when required.
• Supporting the customer in defining, capturing, and developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changes
• Developing, documenting, executing, integrating, and evolving systems engineering processes as required to enable effective SSC/PNT Enterprise systems engineering and integration efforts
• Assessing proposed Enterprise baseline changes for impacts to operational system requirements and capabilities, and future sustainability
• Developing operations and sustainment related briefings, plans, papers, and other documentation in support of SSC/PNT Enterprise decision making
• Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Air Force and Space Force
• Participating in Integrated Product Teams, Product Support Manager meetings, and other programmatic, operations, and sustainment activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience
• Active SECRET security clearance
• Demonstrated experience working with Air Force/Space Force/DoW customers in an operations and sustainment environment, with Space Systems (especially at SSC)
• Experience writing and delivering technical documents, analysis, and briefings
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as being highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to provide on-call support as needed
