Job summary

Hidden Level in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead internal product development and customer integration across the sensor systems lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

You will work in a small team on radar and surveillance sensor systems, develop algorithms in MATLAB/Python, contribute to design reviews, and support test events to ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Position Overview

As we expand, we're looking for a Systems Engineer who will apply their skills to lead internal product development and customer integration and adoption activities. This will be achieved through the analysis and support of sensor systems at each stage in the product lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.

Location

This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evolution and development of new cutting-edge sensor technology:
  • Work in a small, dedicated team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results
  • Design and develop algorithms and analysis methods and tools for radar, direction finding, or other surveillance sensor systems
  • Organize and participate in design and code reviews
• Play an active role in the verification and validation of hardware and software platforms:
  • Weigh in on the planning and design of live test events both internal and external
  • Provide hands-on support for the test of surveillance sensor systems
  • Develop methods and tools to analyze and evaluate radar and surveillance sensor system performance
  • Author test reports and draw data-driven conclusions and recommendations based on test results

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
• A working knowledge of:
  • Digital signal processing
  • Analytical programming platforms such as MATLAB or Python
  • Probabilistic and statistical analysis techniques
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal oversight
• Ability to travel 10%

Compensation and Benefits

Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is estimated at $85,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
