Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience writing clear functional and technical requirements.
• Experience performing integration, functional, regression, and performance testing on embedded software systems.
• Experience with requirements-based testing and maintaining traceability using IBM DOORS or equivalent RMS.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, sprint planning, test iteration cycles, and DevSecOps CI/CD processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer III to support the development, integration, testing, and verification of advanced embedded software systems for mission-critical aerospace and defense applications.

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to analyze system designs, develop verification strategies, perform testing, and ensure software meets performance and quality requirements. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Experience participating in formal technical reviews, walkthroughs, and audits.
• Ability to interpret:

• Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
• System architecture documentation
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to work on-site full-time.

• Extensive experience conducting integration, functional, regression, and performance testing of embedded software systems.
• Experience designing and leading comprehensive verification and validation strategies.
• Experience performing system-level integration, performance, compliance, and acceptance testing.
• Ability to evaluate verification metrics and ensure software meets technical requirements and stakeholder expectations.Experience analyzing complex test data and leading root cause investigations.
• Experience coordinating defect resolution across cross-functional engineering teams.
• Familiarity with aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical software development environments.
