About the team
The AWS Direct Connect capacity engineering team invent solutions makes it easy for customers to
establish a dedicated network connection from their premises to the AWS cloud. These connections
help to reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent
network experience than Internet-based connections. AWS Direct Connect is currently available in
more than 91 locations located in 28 countries.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
– Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
– 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
– Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
– Experience utilizing AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment

The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
