Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Jessup, MD seeks a senior software engineer to troubleshoot production issues, build monitoring, and maintain software across Perl, Ruby, C/C++, and Java. You will collaborate with multiple teams to resolve complex incidents quickly and reliably in a large-scale AWS environment.

Strong Linux, networking knowledge and a current TS/SCI clearance are required. A fast learner who can work independently under pressure will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix production software issues; develop monitoring solutions and perform software maintenance.
• Implement fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, C/C++, Java); update and automate support processes and document systems.
