Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for the Environmental Test team in Kirkland, WA. This role owns manufacturing test systems across the Leo satellite program, driving automation and robust test processes from design through production.

You will bridge hardware and software, develop reliable automation, and contribute to SDS/ATP testing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Collaboration with engineering and production teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive or consumer electronics systems.
• Experience programming with modern languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.

Responsibilities

• Experience with test automation frameworks like TestStand, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
• Convert test plans and hardware specs into automated scripts that run tests and record results.
• Design test cases for functional, performance, and stress testing in hardware systems.
• Debugging across test scripts and hardware setups.
• Interface with test equipment and DUT using protocols like SPI, I2C, RS232, Ethernet.
