Job summary

Arcfield is seeking an Applied Mathematician I for Chesterbrook, PA. You will perform technical planning, system analysis, and model-based evaluations of large, complex systems, translating requirements into hardware and software specs.

Responsibilities include creating and running simulation tools with Matlab, Python, Perl, Java, C++, or R, and presenting results with recommended actions to customers. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar with 0–2 years of experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• High computer literacy and ability to learn complex tools rapidly.
• Competence in Matlab, Python, Perl, Java, C++, or R.
• Strong analytical ability to identify and describe system issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical analysis to support decision making for large, complex systems.
• Create, modify, and run simulation tools and models for technical analysis.
• Review performance specs to ensure simulations evaluate desired outcomes.
• Summarize analysis results and advise customers on actions.
