The Opportunity

Our team is looking for aSystems Architectto drive our architecture and design efforts in creating scalable, efficient, and robust solutions for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the high-level architecture and technical direction of our product & services portfolio. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and media operations, to ensure alignment with client requirements and strategic business goals.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with a deep understanding of software architecture, cloud-native applications, and modern development practices. They will be expected to lead architectural discussions, guide development teams, and act as a mentor to engineers across the organization. It’s a bonus if the candidate possesses experience in the media & entertainment industry.

Your Role

• Work closely with the SVP of Technology and Engineering, the engineering team, product management, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, scalable software architecture.
• Define, design, and drive the architecture of TMT Insights software solutions, ensuring they align with client needs, company objectives and industry standards.
• Lead architectural reviews, decision-making processes, and technical governance to ensure architectural quality and consistency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, encouraging best practices in coding, software design, and DevOps processes.
• Analyze and evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement, modernization, and optimization.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices, evaluating their applicability to our environment and clients.
• Develop and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and processes, supporting scalability, security, and performance.
• Ensure the design of the software is aligned with client needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

What You’ll Bring

• Extensive experience designing and building complex backend systems, integrating with external services and third-party systems in an enterprise environment
• Experience in building and designing RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework
• Understanding of web application best practices and Git development flow
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres
• Solid understanding of cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
• Proven track record in large-scale, complex software projects from concept to delivery.
• Understanding of the full stack of the application and experience with HTML/CSS/JS
• Excellent communicator who is passionate about quality, supportability, extensibility, and scalable application design
• Experience in media technology, entertainment, or broadcast industries is a strong advantage.
