Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a seasoned systems engineer to lead the design, integration, and validation of enterprise-scale infrastructure services for national defense programs. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, document architectures, and translate needs into transition plans.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph, a related degree or equivalent experience, and DoD 8140 assurance certification.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field, or 14+ years of relevant systems engineering, architecture, or infrastructure experience in lieu of a degree
• Meet DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g. Security+ CE)
• Proven experience architecting, integrating, and validating enterprise‑scale systems and infrastructure services
• Strong understanding of systems engineering processes, test and evaluation practices, and lifecycle design considerations
• Experience developing alternatives analyses, cost/schedule assessments, and modernization strategies
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and work across diverse technical and operational stakeholders
• Strong documentation, communication, analytical, and cross‑team collaboration skills
