Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Melbourne, Florida, is seeking a Systems Architect (Engineer or Principal Engineer) to mature thread capabilities for a manned aircraft mission and lead Thread Capability planning with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a STEM degree and DoD Secret clearance or higher, MBSE experience, and familiarity with Atlassian tools. On-site work with relocation assistance and competitive compensation is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related professional/military experience, or Master of Science in a STEM discipline with 0 years, or STEM Ph.D. with 0 years.
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently in Continuous Evaluation.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to employment.
Knowledge of developing model-based systems engineering products.
Knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.

Responsibilities

Lead Thread Capability planning and define acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with subsystem developers, system integrators, system testers, and system requirements engineers.
Develop thread integration plans and procedures; manage development schedules.
Maintain cognizance of subsystem interdependencies and maturity of ICDs.
Incorporate cross-IPT feedback to support IFC approval of interfaces, integration procedures, and schedules.
