Job summary

IGT in Austin, TX is seeking a systems infrastructure professional to maintain and support physical and virtual systems across Windows, Linux, storage, and security.

You will automate tasks, assist with upgrades, and help document procedures, with a focus on reliable, scalable gaming infrastructure. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in a related role and a technical degree; gaming experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Technical certification in systems administration, virtualization, automation, security preferred.
• 0-2 years in systems architect, systems engineering, infrastructure, or related role; gaming industry preferred.
• Intro knowledge of software, systems, virtualization, storage, automation, and network fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016+ and AD/GP, services, patching, logging, hardening.
• Exposure to Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration and command-line troubleshooting.
• Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, Proxmox, StorMagic) and basic VM operations.
• Basic scripting with PowerShell; familiarity with Bash, Python, Ansible.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall, security concepts.
• Ability to document work and follow change procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and supports physical and virtual systems infrastructure for IGT gaming environments.
• Supports provisioning, configuration, patching, monitoring, and health maintenance for servers and VMs.
• Assists with system modeling, analysis, lab validation, and testing for new products.
• Develops tasks, test steps, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoots infrastructure issues across servers, OS, virtualization, storage, and connectivity.
• Automates repeatable tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible or similar tools.
• Supports upgrades to operating systems, hypervisors, firmware, and core components.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and supports physical and virtual systems infrastructure for Everi gaming environments, including Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), virtualization hosts, storage, remote access, availability, and security.
• Supports provisioning, configuration, patching, monitoring, and health maintenance for servers, virtual machines, appliances, and related infrastructure services.
• Assists with system modeling, analysis, lab validation, and testing to support new products and platform changes.
• Develops implementation tasks, test steps, runbooks, and technical documentation under guidance.
• Performs infrastructure troubleshooting to isolate common server, operating system, virtualization, storage, and connectivity issues.
• Uses PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools to automate repeatable operational tasks.
• Supports upgrades to operating systems, hypervisors, system firmware, and core infrastructure components.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other technical field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field required.
• Technical certification in systems administration, virtualization, automation, security, Linux/Windows, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 0-2 years' experience in a systems architect, systems engineering, infrastructure, or related technical role; gaming industry experience preferred.
• Possesses introductory knowledge of relevant software, systems, virtualization, storage, automation, and network fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server 2016+, Active Directory/Group Policy, services, patching, logging, and basic hardening.
• Exposure to Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration and command-line troubleshooting.
• Exposure to virtualization platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, StorMagic, or equivalent, including basic virtual machine operations.
• Basic scripting experience with PowerShell and familiarity with Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall, and security concepts as they relate to systems connectivity.
• Demonstrated ability to use monitoring and troubleshooting tools to support system health and operational response workflows.
• Ability to document work, follow change procedures, and support repeatable implementation processes.

The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $75,000 – $85,000 USD, based on a good‑faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
