Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Chantilly, VA is seeking a System Architect Expert to lead design and development of architectures for complex government systems, APIs, data and cloud services.

The role requires mastery in Enterprise, Solution, and Data Architecture, plus DoDAF and PAG experience, and the ability to guide diverse teams while coordinating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct system architects in design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures with traceability to Enterprise Architecture and requirements.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve systems and review capabilities and scheduling constraints.
• Advise Government on proposed changes based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
• Oversee and coordinate work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level System Architect contractors.
• Solve complex problems, lead teams, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Overview

VTG is seeking a System Architect Expert located in Chantilly, VA. Expert System Architects assist in leading the design and development of solutions for complex applications problems, API design, data services, platform services, cloud services and infrastructure services to meet user requirements and align to strategic goals and the Enterprise Architecture.

What will you do?

• Assists Government in directing system architects in the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures ensuring traceability to the Enterprise architecture and Enterprise requirements.
• Assists with the analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
• Advises the Government on proposed changes to the solutions architecture design based on analysis of requirements and new technology.
• Oversees and coordinates the work of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level System Architect contractors.
• Ability to solve complex problems, lead a team(s) and work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.

Do you have what it takes?

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
• Expert experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
• Experience communicating and collaborating both within and external to organization, to include with senior executives and leaders.

• Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
• Federated Enterprise Architect Certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect
• National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace, Enterprise Architecture Certification

Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $110,000 - $195,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
