Job description

Overview

This Administrative role within the Food & Beverage department manages all software and systems utilized in the Food & Beverage department and ensures they are working effectively for the staff and the business. You are the lead in rolling out new systems and software, ensuring adequate training for all team members involved and that the systems and software are being utilized to improve the business. You will consistently be evaluating all systems and software platforms on a scheduled basis for needed changes, improvements, or updates.


Responsibilities

Software and Systems Management:

  • Leads execution of activities to support the overall F&B systems strategy.
  • Owns the F&B POS system platform, adding new items and ensuring database is clean and functioning.
  • You are the first responder to POS issues and must be able to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensures clear and timely communication of all software and processes that will impact property operations.
  • Ensures hardware and equipment is maintained; inventory levels are kept in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Supports culinary team to ensure compliance with purchasing, invoicing, recipe creation and inventory management.
  • Manages all invoice recording and entering for the F&B department in a timely manner in accordance with the accounting schedule.
  • Leads and conducts systems and software training to restaurant leadership teams on a seasonal basis. Conduct follow-up and specific training on an as-needed basis.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Displays leadership with a hospitality mindset, exemplifies exceptional customer service and creates a positive, solution-focused environment for our staff and guests.
  • Assigns all expectations and standards for systems adherence to appropriate team members.
  • Manages systems and software budgets to maximize revenue and meet staff and customer needs.
  • Champions all Big Sky Resorts standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Establishes the foundation guidelines so team members understand expectations and parameters.

Collaborative/Formal Meetings:

  • Develop collaborative working relationships with outlet managers and F&B teams.
    • Attends weekly outlet meetings to ensure training and adherence are seamless and well communicated.
    • Schedules systems and training meetings on a by-need basis to discuss weekly goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years’ of experience in software management and system engineering in Food & Beverage focused environment, or related professional area.
  • Experience and knowledge of restaurant POS systems, specifically Agilisys, Yellow Dog inventory software, Microsoft NAV and Microsoft Office. You will be building and maintaining back-office POS databases, restaurant costing software; high level knowledge of Microsoft office applications is required.
