Job summary

Mphasis in Austin, TX is seeking a Systems Analyst (Legal Operations) to bridge business stakeholders and IT, translating needs into clear requirements for eBilling and Matter Management systems. You will own ticket lifecycle, perform UAT planning, support transformations, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver impactful improvements.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in business analysis or related roles, strong communication, and experience with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in business analysis, program or product management, or management consulting.
• Experience creating clear technical requirements from business needs.
• Experience with eBilling or Matter Management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily ticket triage and manage lifecycle from intake to resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot complex system behaviors and identify root causes.
• Serve as the bridge between Business Users and IT (IS&T) for issues in eBilling and Matter Management ecosystems.
• Facilitate daily/weekly status updates to align on critical issue resolution.
• Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and perform UAT testing as needed.
• Prioritize high-impact enhancements within monthly or quarterly development cycles.
• Support various matter management and billing transformation projects.

Systems Analyst (Legal Operations)

Job Summary –

For this role, we are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Operations Business Analyst to serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into clear technical requirements that guide understanding of the problem statement, solution design, development, and implementation. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a structured problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Location - Austin

Years of experience needed –

• 8 - 10 years of strong hands-on experience in business analysis, program or product management, management consulting role.

Responsibilities –

• Perform daily ticket triage, ensuring all reported issues are categorized and prioritized. Maintain full ownership of the lifecycle of a ticket, from initial intake to final resolution
• Partner closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot complex system behaviors and identify the underlying root causes rather than just addressing symptoms
• Serve as the primary bridge between Business Users and IT (IS&T) to resolve technical and functional issues within eBilling and Matter Management ecosystem
• Facilitate daily and weekly syncs to provide transparent status updates and ensure alignment on critical issue resolution
• Develop comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and perform UAT testing (Team Connect) as needed
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-impact enhancements are prioritized within the monthly or quarterly development cycles
• Support is needed in various matter management and billing transformation projects
