Job summary

Sistema Technologies is seeking a Systems Analyst for a 1-year engagement with our government client in Austin, TX. The role combines data engineering and systems analysis to understand business needs and deliver integrated ETL solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing, and supporting data integration solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter including mappings, sessions, workflows.
• Ingesting data from multiple sources into Oracle databases.
• Strong Oracle SQL/PLSQL knowledge and performance tuning for ETL queries.
• Experience with Snowflake data loading, schema design, and query performance.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud Data Integration for cloud-based ETL/ELT development.
• Gathering data requirements and documenting data flow/design specifications.
• Troubleshooting data quality issues and production ETL bottlenecks.
• Experience with job scheduling tools like Control-M or Autosys.
• Experience with SAP Business Objects Universe design/maintenance (Preferred).
• Experience in state government or large enterprise IT with formal SDLC/change management (Preferred).

Hybrid Work Arrangement

Responsibilities

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

Informatica ETL/Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data integration solutions. Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, ETL workflows, data ingestion from diverse source systems, and production support.

Hands‑on experience with Snowflake, Informatica Power center, source-to-target mapping, data quality management, performance optimization, and batch job scheduling in large enterprise environments.

Strong analytical and communication skills with experience working in structured SDLC environments, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable data engineering solutions.
