The Data Conversion Systems Analyst supports data conversion solutions by partnering with internal IT teams and external business partners to enhance and execute conversion processes.
This role serves as a primary liaison between on-shore and off-shore development teams during the data conversion lifecycle.
The analyst works under the mentorship of senior associates while maintaining full accountability for assigned deliverables and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support data conversion initiatives by analyzing inbound data records and ensuring accurate transformation into internal system specifications
- Create detailed technical conversion specifications to map external data sources to internal system requirements
- Collaborate in developing conversion strategy documentation by providing technical inputs aligned with business requirements
- Provide guidance and system support to ensure accurate creation, validation, and loading of converted data
- Act as a liaison and advocate for development teams throughout the data conversion process
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to timely and cost-effective project delivery
- Partner with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, systems analysts, and on-shore and off-shore developers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience demonstrating understanding of data conversion implementation processes, including analysis, design, planning, and issue resolution
- Strong knowledge of data conversion and data mapping methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within financial services, banking, retirement platforms, 401(k), defined contribution, mixed election, or retirement funds environments
- Solid understanding of the investment industry
- Experience with data transmission protocols such as SFTP, TSO, or similar file transfer technologies
