Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking an early-career Systems Analyst for a 12-month contract in Kamloops, BC. Become part of a collaborative technology team supporting a large public sector organization and help maintain enterprise systems and services.

You will work with infrastructure and application professionals on system delivery, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, gaining exposure to modern enterprise technologies and automation tools.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of experience supporting enterprise systems, applications, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, networking concepts, SSL certificates, and server technologies.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, SCCM, MECM, Intune, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of enterprise system solutions.
• Assist with application, service, and integration development following SDLC practices.
• Coordinate testing activities and investigate system issues; support timely defect resolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including architecture and operations.

Your Responsibilities

• You'll support the design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of enterprise system solutions.
• You'll assist with application, service, and integration development while following established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• You'll coordinate testing activities, investigate system issues, and support timely defect resolution.
• You'll create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, operational, and support documentation.
• You'll collaborate with internal technical teams and external vendors to support system delivery, upgrades, and ongoing operations.
• You'll monitor system performance, support production environments, and participate in operational support activities, including after-hours support when required.
• You'll identify opportunities to improve operational processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of experience supporting enterprise systems, applications, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, networking concepts, SSL certificates, and server technologies.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, SCCM, MECM, Intune, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of VMware, Java, TCP/IP networking, containerization, source code repositories, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with application support, troubleshooting, patch management, ticket management, or production support is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of ITIL Service Management, operational monitoring tools, and highly available production environments is an asset.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
